Microsoft unveiled several Xbox One exclusives at E3 2014, but it didn’t unload everything. There are still a few games that haven’t made a debut, and one is from legendary Lionhead Studios.
When speaking to Eurogamer Germany, Lionhead Studios Head John Needham spoke about a second project in development that nobody has heard about, probably because it’s extremely early in its cycle. He shared:
It’s a team of about eight guys we have in the studio who are trying to build the next big IP for us.
It’s important to note that Needham stressed that the game isn’t Fable related. Whatever it is, it’s a brand new IP.
He continued:
The primary purpose of the group is to come up with new game IP, and we’ll hopefully this next year have something exciting to talk about.
It’s going to be a while until we see what this game is, perhaps not even until next E3, but at least we know that there are both short-term and long-term exclusives in development for Xbox One.

Fable Legends is currently the primary focus of Lionhead, and is said to be coming in 2015. It’s a co-op oriented game, which is something new for the studio—although Fable 3 had something much more rudimentary tied in.
It appears Lionhead is trying to tap into its creative side to create fresh products. That’s exactly what the industry needs, so we welcome it with open arms.
