The 2014 Aftershock Festival continues to expand and impress, with a number of new acts added to the bill, including a reunited Atreyu. Escape the Fate, Tech N9ne and Islande are also late additions to the roster. As previously reported, Weezer, Rob Zombie, Mastodon, AWOLNATION, Five Finger Death Punch, Bad Religion and more will descend on Discovery Park near downtown Sacramento this September for two days of musical mayhem.
Atreyu have been inactive for three years, but the guys felt the time was right to put the machine back in motion. The Aftershock festival will mark the band’s first large-scale performance since 2011.
Drummer Brandon Saller elaborates: “We are thrilled to be playing Aftershock this year. As our first major performance in years, I think the rowdy California festival crowd will be a great welcome back. We’re looking forward to tearing that motherfucker down.”

Frontman Alex Varkatzas adds, “To say we are looking forward to playing this year’s Aftershock Festival is an understatement. It’s been three-plus years since we have rocked the stage as brothers, and to be playing with all these high caliber bands, in the state that we call home, is truly awesome.”
