Butcher Babies have been announced as the latest act confirmed for the Soundwave 2015 lineup. The Californian metal outfit are the latest act announced as part of Music Feeds’ First Wave of Soundwave 2015 acts, with Coldrain and Patent Pending announced earlier this week.
The band, who unveiled their debut full-length album, Goliath, last year, were one of a handful of acts that fans had consistently requested for Soundwave. Promoter AJ Maddah had been getting requests for Butcher Babies on Twitter as far back as 2013.
The Los Angeles group consists of death-growling frontwomen Carla Harvey and Heidi Shepherd, backed by a fearsome fellowship featuring guitarist Henry Flury (Amen), bass player Jason Klein (Azdachao) and drummer Chris Warner (Scars of Tomorrow).
Describing themselves as “heavy fucking metal co-fronted by two girls that don’t give a shit,” the band’s “pure sex, blood, and rock and roll” combination has seen them share stages with the likes of Black Label Society, Down, and Devil You Know, to whom they’ve consistently drawn comparisons.
The band’s undeniable musicianship and the two frontwomen’s knife-ro-phone antics and in-your-face showmanship is sure to create a devilish mix that punters at Soundwave 2015 just won’t be able to say to no to.
