In an era where anyone can draw up a new visual with a little bit of creativity and Photoshop, logos in sports have increasingly gained new improvements or complete overhauls. But which logos have stood the test of time?
After a little bit of fun research, the following are the logos that have gone virtually unchanged for decades; the mark of a school you can identify with instantaneously without ever needing to see the university.

Top Classic College Football Logos
SMU
Although mostly known for getting the death penalty, Southern Methodist's mustang has had only one minor enhancement since 1963.
Iowa
The gold Hawkeye against the black oval -- it's been the same since 1979.
Duke
Although mostly known for Coach K's basketball team, the school had this logo in 1978, two years before the coach arrived.
Clemson
No other paw print has been as popular since Clemson's, straight from 1976.
UCLA
As John Wooden was wrapping up his all-time great career, UCLA was trying out a new logo that's lasted since 1973.
Miami
'The U,' has been just that since 1972.
Auburn
The Tigers' logo has been the same since 1971, 11 years before Bo Jacksons' debut.
Tennessee
Only Knoxville fans would love that awful shade of orange that cloaks this 'T.' It's still as recognizable as anything in sports, having been the same since 1967.
Notre Dame
South Bend's logo has had some minor color enhancements, but has been intact since 1964.
Georgia
Sure there are other similar logos that come close (looking at you, Grambling) but UGA's black 'G' with red trim has been intact since 1964 as well.
Texas
The Longhorn has gone untouched since 1961 and is about as classic as they come. Hook 'em!
Kansas
Although it's been slightly enhanced in recent years with sharper details, the KU Jayhawk has remained the same since 1946. Rock chalk!
Utah
No other U-niversity (bad joke?) has had a Native American-based icon go untouched since 1975.
Nebraska
The Cornhuskers' logo has been this simple -- this bold -- since the beginning of time. It's never been touched.
