Tokyo Game Show 2014 is almost here, and major publishers have announced what they’ll be bringing to the show.
As with previous years, you’ll be able to find out the latest on JRPGs and games planned to hit Japan in the near future, but there’s a big showing from western developers as well. Microsoft is bringing most of its exclusive line-up to challenge Sony’s mega-booth. And, of course, there are the unknowns. Will Square Enix bring Kingdom Hearts 3? Will The Last Guardian finally reveal itself? We’ll find out later this week.

Bloodborne (Sony)
Bloodborne is arguably the biggest upcoming PS4 exclusive. Made by From Software, the same studio that brought you the Souls series, Bloodborne looks to continue its success, but with a new setting. Many of those who played it at Gamescom walked away with a smile on their face. This is undoubtedly one of the biggest games of 2015, and not only will there be a new trailer at TGS 2014, but a playable demo on the show floor.

Bravely Second (Square Enix)
JRPGs haven't had much success the past few years, but Bravely Default stands among the few that have been well received. It performed so well that Square Enix immediately began working on a sequel: Bravely Second. It'll feature some of the same characters, but a completely new narrative and adjustments to gameplay mechanics that Square Enix believes will make it an even better game.
Bravely Second will be playable at TGS 2014, and will have a new trailer.

Final Fantasy XV (Square Enix)
Final Fantasy XV is the only item on this list that hasn't been confirmed for attendance at the show. Despite this, I'm convinced it'll be at the show, especially given it hasn't been seen in over a year. Last time we saw it was when Square Enix showed an absolutely remarkable trailer, which included the announcement that the game has transitioned to next-gen consoles. This game has the potential to be the best Final Fantasy in years, so cross your fingers.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection (Microsoft)
Microsoft doesn't appear to be afraid of bringing its western-style games to TGS, as hinted by the inclusion of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Here's a game that caused an explosion of applause at its announcement, and is one of the top 5 biggest releases of Holiday 2014. It'll be playable on the show floor, so attendees can see for themselves what this collection plus remaster package is all about.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (Konami)
There is no game I'm more excited about heading into the future than Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and there are good reasons for that. It's the first open-world Metal Gear game, as well as one that covers a section of the timeline that is mysterious with lots of unknowns.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes proved that the new FOX Engine is impressive, and The Phantom Pain is sure to be the kind of game that justifies next-gen consoles.
While it won't be playable at TGS 2014, The Phantom Pain will receive a new trailer and a stage demo.

Persona 5 (Atlus)
The Persona series has earned a reputation as one of the most prestigious in the JRPG genre. Each of its releases have earned overwhelming acclaim, with Persona 4 Golden being the highest-rated title on the PS Vita.
Persona 5 is nearing the end of development for PS3 and PS4, and promises an epic social adventure unlike the series has ever seen before. Although it was originally planned to debut before the end of the year, Atlus has pushed it into 2014. For those who can't wait, TGS 2014 will offer some counseling with its confirmed attendance of Persona 5. Whether or not it'll be playable is unknown.

P.T./Silent Hills (Konami)
Yeah, I can hardly believe it either. P.T., or Silent Hills, will in-fact be at TGS 2014. Konami confirmed its attendance on its website, which says there will be a new video and stage demo.
Silent Hills is very early in development, so it's likely that what you'll see is more conceptual than anything. But really, anything is welcome after its horrifying demo that was the most discussed video game topic during Gamescom.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 (Capcom)
The next new Resident Evil installment, outside of the Resident Evil remake, is coming to TGS 2014. It wasn't announced long ago, and sounds promising. It aims to resurrect the horror side of the franchise, which has gotten away from it during recent years.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will receive a new trailer at TGS. It is unconfirmed whether or not there will be a playable demo.

Sunset Overdrive (Microsoft)
Every time I see Sunset Overdrive it looks better and better. Here's a game that knows how to be fun, with parkour, an array of exciting weapons, and a colorful world. It goes without saying that it is one of the biggest games of this Holiday season.
Sunset Overdrive will be playable on the show floor, in addition to having a new trailer to share.

Tales of Zestiria (Bandai Namco)
Tokyo Game Show wouldn't be right without a handful of JRPGs to check out. Bandai Namco is adding to the list by bringing its upcoming Tales game: Tales of Zestiria.
Tales of Zestiria has an evolved version of the series' popular combat system, as well as the same colorful visuals fans have come to expect. There will be a playable demo on the show floor, as well as a trailer and stage demo.
