Watch: Pink Teams With Dallas Green For Gorgeous ‘Break The Cycle’

Sometimes the weirdest mixtures make for fascinating new flavors. Hell, some people are into butterscotch pudding. But You+Me is bound to go down easy – a new collaborative project featuring Alecia Moore a.k.a. Pink and City & Colour nucleus Dallas Green, the duo have just delivered their first music video.

Check out “Break the Cycle” below, a sepia-toned clip featuring the two walking and performing next to each other in an open field.

“Break the Cycle” is featured on the duo’s first album as You+Me, entitled Rose Ave. The record will be released on October 14 via RCA. Pink revealed in a chat with HuffPo that she wrote the lyrics of the song with her mother in mind.

“It didn’t turn out to be quite the love song I thought it would be, but it’s very honest and came out to be so much more,” she said. Green added, “The words of the chorus is the loving, nurturing part. I did not expect this song to turn out the way it did and it’s so good.”

The harmonies resonate well within the song’s poignant honesty. We’re looking forward to seeing what comes next from the duo. Keep up with the project on the duo’s official site.
