Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is one of this year’s most unsuspecting games, but it deserves your attention. Set in the Tolkien’s fantasy world, it’ll be a dark, violent RPG adventure with several clever mechanics. The best part is it’s only a week away, so there’s no arduous wait like we’ve seen from most next-gen titles of this size.
A new trailer has debuted for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor which manages to introduce each of the game’s major elements within nine minutes. These elements include some of what you may expect, such as brutal combat and a deep narrative. There are some things you might not suspect, though. For one, this is a game with a legendary voice cast, including the likes of Troy Baker and Nolan North. It also has smooth melee combat inspired by the Batman Arkham series. Oh, and the Nemesis System makes each enemy you kill much more than just another foe to slaughter.
