Pitch Invaders May Lead to Punishment for Tottenham

Pitch invaders during Tottenham’s Europa League match against Partizan Belgrade at White Hart Lane may lead to the club being punished by UEFA.

Play was interrupted on three separate occasions which saw the match running 41 minutes over schedule, after the invaders, who were later revealed to be YouTube pranksters, eventually saw both teams having to make their way back down the tunnel due to security concerns.

Watch the video of the pranksters (one of whom managed to grab an on-pitch selfie with Erik Lamela) below:

While Tottenham bested their opponents in a 1-0 victory, UEFA is looking to punish the club under the field invasion section of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations. The issue will be dealt with by the organisation on December 11th.

The pranksters were revealed to be Gomes Garcia, Nathan Brown and Dan Jarvis, who are part of the YouTube channel TrollStation. Prior to the pitch invasion they had previously uploaded videos in which they turned a London tube carriage into a strip club and this particularly cringeworthy “social experiment” (seriously, is everyone on YouTube a social experiment now?) video in a which a woman sexually harasses men.
