Listen: Saruman aka Christopher Lee Delivers Epic Metal Christmas Carol

Actor, musician and all around immortal badass Sir Christopher Lee has released his latest heavy metal Christmas song. Sure, he’s 92 years old and has one of the most distinctively notable voices in film, but he’s also a master of the dark musical arts.

“Darkest Carols, Faithful Sing,” is Lee’s reinterpretation on “‘Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”. It’s the next installment in what’s become a Christmas tradition for Saruman. He’s previously released metal versions of “Little Drummer Boy” and “Silent Night” as well as “Jingle Hell” and even Sinatra’s “My Way”.

Listen below to a medley of Lee’s songs, and see if you can resist singing along to a ghoulish take on “Darkest carols, faithful sing. Glory to the metal kings!”

“At my age, the most important thing for me is to keep active by doing things that I truly enjoy,” Lee told Blabbermouth. “I do not know how long I am going to be around, so every day is a celebration and I want to share it with my fans.”
