Grand Theft Auto V‘s GTA Online has received a Christmas-themed update that allows players to engage in snowball fights.
The update sees snow come to Los Santos, lining the streets just in time for Christmas. Snowballs can be picked up by pressing left on the d-pad on the controller of whichever console you are playing the game on (the update is available on the PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360). There are also a selection of free costumes and masks the players can don to get in the spirit of the holiday.

The timed event, titled ‘Festive Surprise,’ will also see players gifted a few special items in their inventory on Christmas Day. Rockstar is also holding a Snapmatic contest which will see lucky winners being awarded $1 million in GTA‘s in-game currency.
Special vehicles will be made available, too, with the Hot Rod Christmas Ratloader, Slam Van, Massacro and Jester sports cars making their debut in the game, with players being able to keep them even after the Festive Surprise event has concluded.
Festive Surprise will come to an end on January 5th, so be sure to check in to GTA Online over the next week to acquire all those great goodies (and indulge in a few snowball fights) before it concludes.
