Diplo Turns Up Park City Live At Sundance

Park City Live was without a doubt THE place to be last night as the first weekend of Sundance Film Festival came to a close. On top of being the dopest spot on main street for live music, the venue had Diplo headlining, with special guest Anna Lunoe opening – and the place was absolutely packed to the gills.

Anna, the smoking hot DJ/Producer out of Australia, definitely got the crowd moving with a nice pallet of future house beats, and a heavy dose of dirty remixes of crowd favorites like Disclosure(Latch) and O.T. Genasis(CoCo).

But by the time she wound down her last track, and the curtains began to close, the place was ready for the main event.

True to form, Diplo kicked off the night with something this crowd wouldn’t soon forget. Jack U’s “Take You There” featuring Kiesza, literally blew fans in the first row away. The combination of heart-pounding base throttling from the 36 inch speakers lining the stage, with streamer cannons blasting out cool air and confetti from the DJ booth, actually pushed the crowd backwards with what seemed like a 1-2 punch of super human brute force.

From there, the set covered almost every corner of the hip hop, trap, glitch, house and bass worlds of electronic music. Of course he played the Diplo hits, and couldn’t stay away from the Major Lazer favorites, but he also rocked chart toppers from old school icons like Notorious B.I.G.

And no Diplo show would be complete without a dozen scantily clad girls twerking on stage with every ounce of their dignity hanging in the balance – and “dropping that ass” like their careers and lives depended on it.

Check out some photos from the madness last night!
