As promised, a new fighter has been revealed for Mortal Kombat X during today’s NetherRealm Studios livestream. That fighter is Ermac, one of the most flashy characters in the Mortal Kombat universe.
Ermac is a highly elusive ninja that uses teleportation and telekinesis to do his bidding. Although born as nothing more than misconception in the original Mortal Kombat‘s audit menu–Ermac originally referred to error catching code in the game–, he was debuted in Mortal Kombat 3 where he became yet another popular ninja fighter. He’s certainly one of the coolest looking fighters of the bunch next to Scorpion.
As with previous iterations, Ermac in Mortal Kombat X will be a very difficult character to lock down when played well. He is able to move large distances and surprise enemies through quick combo presses; he punishes players with slow reaction times.

Ermac has both served as a good and evil character in the Mortal Kombat universe. His purpose in Mortal Kombat X is presently unclear.
Ermac will be a member of the day one roster for Mortal Kombat X, which is planned to debut on April 14th for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, and PC.
