Last month, news came to hand that Mötley Crüe‘s The Final Tour would be coming to Australia in 2015, and Alice Cooper would be in tow. Now, the tour’s official dates appear to have leaked thanks to a Mötley Crüe-branded T-shirt.
A Tokyo-based Crüe fan has posted a picture of the T-shirt on Twitter, and another similar shirt has popped up on Instagram. The shirts list dates saying the band will play shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth this May. The shirt also includes a New Zealand date, with Auckland’s Vector Arena named as the host venue.
Mötley Crüe have previously said they will arrive down under in the American spring, which would mean Australian shows between March and June. What’s more, the band played their last show in Japan overnight, so these shirts are pretty much guaranteed legit.
Adelaide Entertainment Centre tells Music Feeds they actually have two events “pencilled in” for the date labelled on the shirt. All other venues have said they have no confirmed shows booked for these leaked dates.
Alice Cooper last month confirmed that he would be joining Mötley Crüe on tour. “Every time we get a chance to go down there we go, I love it down there,” Cooper said of touring in Australia.
Mötley Crüe last toured Australia in early 2013 alongside KISS and Thin Lizzy, and are yet to officially announce their 2015 Aussie dates.
