TuneCore Live Enlists Waterbed, Dear Boy, Knower & More For Bardot Showcase Event

Crave is a proud sponsor of the next installment of the TuneCore Live series, taking place at Bardot in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Feb. 25th. Hosted by online music distribution service TuneCore and Swisher Sweets, the event is a celebration of TuneCore’s efforts to offer musicians and artists the invaluable opportunity to market their music into online retailers such as iTunes, Amazon and Spotify while keeping all their rights and royalties. A crucial component to the success of any artist, TuneCore helps rights holders maintain control over their work while eliminating the costly middlemen factor.

The next TuneCore showcase will feature a wide range of musical style in bands such as Waterbed, Dear Boy, Knower and a DJ set by Holy Child,  on a night not to be missed. Check out more info and sample sounds from each act below!

Waterbed

Formerly known as MVSCLES, the band’s frenetic live show sports sing-along melodies bouncing atop booming drums, bubbling synthesizers and noise. As evidenced by the dreamy layered soundscape below, the experience can be a psychedelic wonderland adventure.

Dear Boy

Looking for bittersweet alt-rock with a post-punk edge? Look no further than Dear Boy, who are on a strong run of progress after a national tour supporting Kitten (Atlantic Records) and their latest single “Hesitation Waltz” making a solid impact. Listen for yourself:

Knower

Good luck resisting the dance-mandate dynamic of Knower’s glitch beats in a wash of live visual graphics, a high-energy blast buoyed by their debut album Let Go, which topped iTunes’ Top 20 most downloaded electronic albums of 2013. The legendary Quincy Jones is a fan, declaring that Knower is “putting music back where it belongs! With Passion!”

Holychild

Los Angeles’ Holychild, consisting of Liz Nistico and Louie Diller, specializes in infectious cerebral pop. Their song, “Happy with Me,” reached #1 on Hype Machine’s Popular Charts, while publications far and wide are heralding their sound as one to look out for this year. Having locked a deal with Glassnote Records, their debut EP Mindspeak, was released in March 2014 and questions society’s view of the woman from often times a sarcastic/absurdist perspective. Look for a full-length in early 2015 on Glassnote.
