EDC Las Vegas is on the fast approach, and now the festival’s more musically-inclined fans have a chance to play Under the Electric Sky. Aspiring DJs and producers now have a chance to perform at America’s biggest dance festival, through the Discovery Project – a creation competition that puts the winners onstage in front of countless EDM fans.
Interested? Send an original track and 30-minute mix to the entry page by May 17. Three artists will be selected for the Bassrush category and one artist for the Basscon category, totaling four artists from all eligible entries received. Those selected will not only get the chance to perform at North America’s biggest dance festival, but they will also have the opportunity to join the Discovery artist collective, which highlights alumni as they continue to push their music careers forward.
Insomniac’s Discovery Project was created to give a voice to emerging artists in the electronic music world. Aimed at cultivating the scene’s untapped talent, the platform strives to bring today’s new talent to the masses through editorial exposure, performance competitions, and a unique artist collective.
Hand-selected by the Insomniac team, Discovery Project competition winners are given an opportunity to showcase their talent onstage at multiple Insomniac festivals across the country.

In the end, you’ll upload your original track via SoundCloud, making sure it’s between 3 and 8 minutes long with a bitrate of 320 kbps. Originality, progressive-creative submissions are going to stand out from the pack, so make sure you’re on your game!
