The creative team of Arrow started off the third season with the shocking death of Sara Lance aka The Canary in the season premiere. And with Sara’s death, it seemed like her portrayer, Caity Lotz was off the show for good.
However, Lotz was quickly lined up for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, a new spinoff from Arrow and The Flash that will bring Sara Lance back to life as the White Canary. Legends of Tomorrow is slated to premiere on The CW at midseason, but we may see Lotz back on Arrow beforehand.
While speaking to the press at Comic-Con International (via Cinemablend), Lotz said “I’m definitely going to go onto Arrow. I’ll be making appearances and there’s a lot to deal with. Maybe she’ll have a wonderful revenge kill list, and throughout the series I think we can hopefully keep addressing it and in tying those in, because it’s interesting to bring those two shows together, but definitely be coming on Arrow.”

Lotz added that “One of the things about Flash and Arrow, for the season, is the first half is a lot of it is going to be setting up our show, setting up our characters and bringing them into the world, so that will be interesting.”
There’s certainly a lot of characters on Arrow who would want to know that Sara is alive, including Oliver Queen, Nyssa al Ghul, John Diggle, and Sara’s family, Laurel, Dinah, and Quentin Lance. Thea Queen would probably also be glad to have Sara’s demise off of her list of sins, but it seems like a good bet that Sara won’t be so forgiving to Malcolm Merlyn for orchestrating her murder in the first place.
Arrow Season 4 will premiere Wednesday, October 7 on The CW.
