Next Tuesday, August 25th, Anchor Bay Entertainment is bringing AMC’s The Walking Dead Season 5 to Blu-ray and DVD. In addition to all 16 episodes from the fifth season, the sets will include behind-the-scenes featurettes, interviews, and deleted scenes.
Anchor Bay released one of the deleted scenes today, and it comes from the third episode of the fifth season “Four Walls and A Roof.” At that point in The Walking Dead, the survivors led by Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) had escaped from Terminus and the cannibals who lived there. But the Terminus leaders had caught up to the group’s sanctuary: the church that was formerly run by Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam).
The deleted scene features Gabriel confronting Rick about his misgivings towards the group’s plans…which were later revealed to be a trap for the would-be hunters from Terminus.

The Walking Dead companion series, Fear The Walking Dead debuts this Sunday, August 23 on AMC. The Walking Dead Season 6 will premiere in October on AMC.
