Featuring interviews with the likes of Dave Grohl, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John and more, All Things Must Pass charts the rise and fall of iconic music retailers Tower Records.
With in depth interviews with founder Ross Solomon and many of his staff, director Colin Hanks explores the hilarious and tragic story of what was once the center the universe as far as popular music was concerned.
Starting out in a small town drug store, Tower Records would grow to operate across thirty countries and five continents. Spurred on by love of music and a carefree attitude to dress code, drinking and drug-taking on the job, the documentary looks to offer a rare and intimate insight to the former institution of the music industry that many loved and dearly miss.
Having received glowing reviews already from SXSW, the film is set to hit US cinemas on October 16th. To whet our appetites ’til then, catch the film’s trailer below.
