The NY Daily News obtained the first clear photos of Jason Pierre-Paul’s blown up hand, and it’s disheartening to say the least.
The star defensive end injured his hand in a July 4 fireworks accident, and for several weeks refused to show team management the severity of the wound.
Word is the Giants have sent Pierre-Paul home until further evaluation. You can see why.

It appears the 26-year-old completely blew off his right index finger, while injuring his thumb and middle finger as well. The NY Daily News has more pictures here.
The Giants will re-evaluate Pierre-Paul again in October before deciding whether or not he should play this season. There is currently a $14.813 million franchise tag on the table and the offer diminishes $871,352 every week JPP isn’t with the team.
Pierre-Paul had 12. 5 sacks last season for New York.
