Leaked Screenshots of Fallout 4 PC on Ultra Settings Divide Opinion

A NeoGAF user has uploaded screenshots of Fallout 4‘s PC version supposedly running on ultra graphics settings, and the images have divided opinion with some praising the game’s visuals, while others have been left a little disappointed.

The screenshots, which were reportedly captured on a rig boasting an Intel i7 processor and a GTX 970, certainly look better than the footage we’ve seen from the console versions of the game, though they’re not as immediately jaw-dropping as other games from the current generation running on ultra settings.

While some pointed out that the .jpeg compression would have diminished the quality of the images, others were quick to discuss flaws ranging from the look of the trees in the screenshots, to the “washed-out” lighting.

The user who posted the images to NeoGAF said that he was told to upload them to the site by an unnamed source, and as such he doesn’t know how the game runs when the settings are bumped up to ultra.
