Like a hate-filled Internet comments section brought to life, a UK organisation calling themselves Overweight Haters Ltd have taken it upon themselves to make the world a slightly worse place to live in, with the group’s members handing out cards to commuters in London bearing the words “YOU’RE FAT.”
The group’s actions were reported upon by Twitter user Sean Thomas Knox, who stated that he’d witnessed a man step on board a train at London’s Oxford Circus, only to leave the carriage after handing a woman one of the group’s cards.
Young man just got on train at Oxford Circus, gave printed card saying YOU’RE FAT to overweight girl. He jumped off. She read it, & cried.

Really. That really just happened. She really cried. What a horrible cunt. A random act of pointless cruelty.

Am 99.9% sure this wasn’t staged. She didn’t even realise I was watching at first. Her stunned, desolate reaction was very real. Then tears

Sean was then linked to another woman’s story, who was seemingly approached by the same group last week. Kara Florish said that the group had handed her the following card on the underground, with her describing the act as “hateful” and “cowardly”:

The front of the card simply reads “fat”, while the inside contains the following message, concluding with the words “you are a fat, ugly human”:

So far it seems that Overweight Haters Ltd has limited their vile outreach to women, with no men having reported themselves being targeted by the group. The British Transport Police are now investigating the matter, posting the following tweet in order to track down who is behind the group:
We are aware of the leaflets being distributed in London and urge anyone who has been handed one to call us on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016.

It needn’t be said that those taking it upon themselves to hand out these leaflets to strangers are clearly people with very empty lives, but regardless of how vapid their existence may be, hopefully the BTP will learn of their identities and ensure that no one else will be forced to endure their bullying behaviour whilst commuting.
