Watch Amy Poehler And Tina Fey Take On The Mighty ‘Star Wars’ In ‘Sisters: The Farce Awakens’

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey‘s latest movie Sisters is scheduled to be released in the US on the same day as the mammoth new Star Wars film The Force Awakens so they’ve used the opportunity to take a stab at the film with a behind the scenes mockumentary.

Donning British accents, because it hides the fact they’re “really drunk”, the pair talk about their upcoming comedy as if it is the long lasting sci-fi drama saying, “this film means so much to so many people.”

“It could not be more existing to see the way technology has evolved,” Poehler gasps while a clip of Maya Rudolph draped in light-globes plays.

Fey does actually find a connection between the two films saying that R2-D2 is her current bra size which is an interesting takeaway.

We’re not sure this will convince many Star Wars fans to flock to Sisters instead on release day but from what the clip shows, the movie looks hilarious, which is more than we can say about the Star Wars trailer. That does not look hilarious. Good but not hilarious. (Calm down).

Luckily for us Australians we won’t have to decide whether we choose laughs over lightsabers. Sisters will be released here on 7th January while Stars Wars hits cinemas 17th December.
