The events of Convergence have had lasting consequences in the New 52. The Superman and Lois Lane of the pre-Flashpoint DC Universe have survived, and they’ve been living in the New 52 timeline for the last five years!
The slightly older Clark Kent and Lois Lane had to abandon their last names in this world, since their younger counterparts already existed here. This Superman and Lois remained in the shadows, their marriage is intact and now they have a son as well. But they’ve made enemies in their new world. Lois has attracted the attention of Intergang, while Clark has attempted to stop some of Superman’s adversaries before they emerged in this timeline. And so far, they’ve managed to stay undetected by Earth’s other superheroes.
CraveOnline’s exclusive preview for Superman: Lois & Clark # 3 flashes back to the first time that the older Superman encountered Blanque, a villain who never emerged in his timeline. Unfortunately for the Man of Steel, Blanque is far more bloodthirsty and powerful than most of his previous villains, and Superman’s mercy may have consequences in the present day.
Here’s DC’s solicitation copy for Superman: Lois & Clark # 3:
“Who—or what—is Blanque? What is being held in this Superman’s Fortress of Solitude? And what is Intergang, and why is their discovery dangerous to Lois? Whatever the answers, neither Clark nor Lois want their son to learn the truth…”
Comic veterans Dan Jurgens and artist Lee Weeks are the creative team of Superman: Lois & Clark # 3, which will land in comic stores everywhere on Wednesday, December 30.
