Looks like the 2016 festival season is primed to go the hell off: It has now been revealed that LCD Soundsystem and Guns N’ Roses will headline Coachella 2016.
Following the GNR reunion announcement, the reunion rumors hit full steam after the Christmas Eve delivery of surprise new song “Christmas Will Break Your Heart,” but DFA label manager Jonathan Galkin has been denying rumors that James Murphy would reignite the band in the new year. “LCD Soundsystem are not reuniting next year, you fucking morons,” he Tweeted.
What a dipshit that guy is, eh?
Coachella come to be known as the “reunion festival,” having negotiated a number of highly anticipated comebacks over the years, including The Pixies in 2004, Rage Against the Machine in 2007 and OutKast in 2014.
The festival is expected to announce its 2016 lineup early next week.
LCD Soundsystem’s final show took place at Madison Square Garden in 2011, footage of which was later released as a film, This Is Happening.
