“Guilt can be a good thing. It’s the soul’s call to action. An indication that your work is not yet finished.”
With those words, Netflix’s latest teaser for Daredevil Season 2 has set the stage for the first ever live-action fight between Marvel’s Man Without Fear and The Punisher. Within the Marvel Universe, Daredevil and The Punisher have clashed many times. But the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to take their conflict to another level.
Netflix’s new Daredevil teaser trailer doesn’t have any new footage to show, but it does contain a few lines of dialogue from the second season and a visually interesting recap of the first season. Using a church’s stained glass windows was a nice touch, and it plays upon Daredevil’s Catholicism. He’s a man who deeply feels his guilt and regret. The Punisher has none of those redeeming qualities…and he no problem with killing criminals.
