After 1983’s Return of the Jedi, Harrison Ford didn’t appear in anything Star Wars until last month’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This time, Ford is booking his return trip to the franchise after only two months!
ABC has announced that Harrison Ford will host a segment of the upcoming special, The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60. Ford will be presenting viewers with an exclusive early preview of the much-anticipated Star Wars Lands that are being constructed at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts. While the construction of those expansions are in the earliest stages, the Disneyland 60 special is expected to unveil previously unannounced details in addition showing off new concept art.
Disney has yet to reveal everything that will be in Star Wars Lands, but the first concept art depicts a life-size Millennium Falcon. And it has been confirmed that one of the rides will allow fans pilot the Millennium Falcon during a mission.

Among other rumors, the Star Wars Lands are said to also have plans for a life-size replica of Poe Dameron’s black X-Wing fighter from Star Wars: The Force Awakens in addition to characters and concepts from the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VIII.
Derek Hough will be the “Master of Ceremonies” for the Disneyland 60 special, which will also include a retrospective on the history of Disneyland and special guest appearances by Elton John, Josh Gad, Witney Carson, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. ABC has scheduled the Disneyland 60 special for Sunday, February 21 at 8pm.
