Later this year, AMC and BBC are bringing together Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie in an adaptation of John le Carré’s The Night Manager. The story will be broken into a six-part miniseries, and if the first trailer is any indication, it’s going to be intense!
Hiddleston stars as Jonathan Pine, an ex British soldier who is recruited by intelligence operative Angela Burr (Olivia Colman) to investigate Richard Roper (Laurie), an arms dealer whom even his mistress calls “the worst man in the world!”
To take down Roper, Pine will have to compromise his own morality to get closer to his target. At the same time, Pine finds himself falling for Roper’s girlfriend, Jed (Elizabeth Debicki)…and needless to say, that’s going to cause some complications.
Yahoo TV has also dropped a preview scene from the first episode in which Pine and Roper have their first extended conversation under the stars.
The Night Manager will premiere on Tuesday, April 19 at 10 pm on AMC.
