2016’s Best & Worst Cities For Football Fans

Ohhhh WalletHub, you get me every time.

The analysts from the site compiled yet again their yearly rankings of America’s best & worst sports cities, and again, I’m compelled to share them with you.

245 U.S. cities were analyzed  — all of them with at least one college or professional football team. The findings were also based on 18 key metrics, ranging from the number of  football teams and their performance to average ticket prices and fan engagement.

So what did they find?

Congratulations, Green Bay. You win.

Above is the interactive map to show the grand scheme of the rankings. But, evidently, Packers fans are the center of the football universe right now.

Here’s the top 10

Packers’ Frozen Tundra, Clemson, Steelers, Bama, Spartans, Broncos and …. Princeton?? New Jersey?! Over the Eagles and LSU?? Bizarre.

And the worst 10

Yup. Never heard of any of those places. Seems accurate.

Another surprising rank is Fayette, MS at No. 12 overall and DeKalb, IL at No. 23 (Go Huskies!)

Also very interesting are the rankings on ticket prices and which fans are the friendliest.

Living in Florida is a bargain for the NFL right now. And New York, quit being assholes.
