Elektra Rises In The New Daredevil Season 2 Trailer

In 1981, writer and artist Frank Miller introduced Elektra in the pages of Daredevil, and Marvel’s Man Without Fear has never been the same. Elektra’s popularity even led her to become one of the first Marvel heroines to headline her own feature film, although most fans try to forget about that one. Next month, Elektra will make her bid for live-action redemption when she leaps into the heart of Daredevil season 2!

Elektra was mentioned in the first season of Daredevil as “the Greek girl” that Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) dated in college. And judging from the way that Elektra and Matt act in the new Daredevil season 2 trailer, it seems clear that he must have told her everything about him. She not only knows about his heightened senses and fighting skills, she knows that he’s Daredevil!

Remember Daredevil’s fight with the ninja Nobu (Peter Shinkoda) that nearly saw Matt’s crime fighting career come to an early end? Consider that the preliminary bout for the real battle, as the ninja death clan known as the Hand emerges from the shadows. The war for Hell’s Kitchen is about to ignite, and the Punisher (Jon Bernthal) is willing to burn everything if it furthers his own personal vendetta against the criminal underworld.

The trailer also features the return of Scott Glenn as Stick, Daredevil’s first mentor; as well as Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple. So far, there’s no sign of Wilson Fisk in the Daredevil trailers, and Vincent D’Onofrio may not be back this season. But we’re willing to be Fisk will show up at some point, especially now that Elektra is in the mix. Now all that’s missing is Bullseye…or is he?

All 13 episodes of Daredevil season 2 will hit on Friday, March 18 on Netflix.
