Fall 2016 fashion runways were struggling from a notable lack of diversity, a report from our sister site the Fashion Spot has revealed.

The diversity report, which can be read in full here, is conducted annually by the site, with its 2016 incarnation revealing that although the fashion industry is gradually improving in this department, it still has a long way to go.

The report indicates that white models were used over 75% of the time on runways across New York, London, Paris and Milan, surveying 312 shows and 8,782 model appearances. Plus-sized, transgender and models aged over 50 were also under-represented, though each had seen an increase since the previous year. Out of all the cities that were surveyed, New York was the most racially diverse with 31.9% models of color. Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 3 event featured the most models of different races.
