Cross-network crossovers are very rare phenomenon in television. Usually, the prevailing theory is that networks don’t want to use characters from other networks because then it encourages viewers to watch something they don’t own. Even The Flash’s upcoming appearance on Supergirl wasn’t a sure thing, as CBS denied the possibility for months.
But it’s almost here. In just seven days, Grant Gustin will guest star on Supergirl as Barry Allan, a.k.a. the Flash! And in the newly released trailer for the episode, the Flash will be sticking around long enough for National City to realize that there’s a new hero in town. The trailer doesn’t shed any light on how the Flash came to visit Supergirl’s world, but it does show off the easy chemistry between the two former Glee stars, Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin as they play off of each other.
The villains are just afterthoughts here. It’s all about the superhero team up! But the Flash really should be more careful about his secret identity…

Here’s CBS’s official description of the episode:
“Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.”
Supergirl’s crossover episode will air Monday, March 28 on CBS.

Seriously, dude. You're worse than Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man. At least his mask was damaged when it came off...all the time.
