Exclusive Preview | The Legend of Wonder Woman Chapter # 20

This week, the second part of the final arc of The Legend of Wonder Woman is being released digital first!

Writer and penciler, Renae De Liz has teamed up her husband Ray Dillon (the inker and colorist) to re-envision Wonder Woman’s origin story during World War II. Wonder Woman’s heroics on the battlefield have already won her fame and admiration among the Allies. And in Europe, the Nazi high command is preparing to strike back against the Amazon superheroine.

Meanwhile, Wonder Woman has assumed the identity of Diana Prince as she finds her place in the modern world. In CraveOnline’s exclusive preview for The Legend of Wonder Woman # 20, Steve Trevor gives Diana a few lessons about how to fly an airplane, while remaining unaware that she is actually Wonder Woman.

I love the idea that Wonder Woman inspired nose art on World War II planes in this world. And the allusion to The Little Prince was another nice touch. Come to think of it, the story of the pilot in The Little Prince does seem to have some similarities to Steve Trevor’s tale.

De Liz and Dillon continue their story in The Legend of Wonder Woman # Chapter # 20, which will be available for download on Thursday, March 24 via the DC Comics App, Readdcentertainment.com, iBooks, comiXology, Google Play, Kindle Store, Nook Store, and iVerse ComicsPlus.
