Police are currently investigating sexual threats made to the one-year-old daughter of Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy.
The disgusting comments were made after Vardy’s fiancee, Rebekah Nicholson, posted a photo of the toddler wearing a Leicester shirt, with Vardy posting a screenshot of the images on Twitter, writing: “Shocking and vile.” Nicholson also responded to the tweets, calling out the users for their abhorrent remarks.
You can see the threats made to Vardy and Nicholson’s daughter below, though there’s a content warning for strong and violent language:

Now Leicester Police have launched an investigation into the threats, following a formal complaint that was made on Monday. A statement from the police reads: “Leicestershire police is investigating a report of malicious communication being sent via social media.
“A report was made today of an abusive message being received yesterday evening by a woman on Twitter. Inquiries remain ongoing and the force is liaising with Leicester City Football Club.”
The offending tweets have since been deleted. It is unclear what punishment those found guilty will face if apprehended by the police, though UK laws do allow for individuals engaging in abusive behaviour online to be handed a prison sentence.
