Villanova vs. UNC: Best NCAA Tournament Ending Ever!

In case you missed it, Monday night was a doozy. And by doozy, I mean millions of heads exploded across the country.

In what was arguably the best ending to an NCAA basketball national title game since Jordan’s UNC buzzer-beater in ’82, the Villanova Wildcats beat the North Carolina Tar Heels 77-74 following two shots in the final 10 seconds that will live on in highlight reels for the rest of our lives.

First, after being down ten with four minutes to play, UNC’s Marcus Paige drilled this off-balance, near-impossible trey to tie the game at 74.

But with a little more than four seconds on the clock, Nova drove down the floor to find Kris Jenkins, who sunk the shot of his a life, a three-pointer at the buzzer to win the national title.

And then … Michael Jordan cried. Kinda, not really. But still funny.

But seriously, Philly lost its damn mind.

Congrats to Villanova on winning their second national title. And yes, I’m incredibly happy that a school which shouldn’t have even been allowed in the tournament was denied cutting down another net.
