The Mighty Boosh’s Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding are working on a new project together.
The outgoing pair have been on hiatus after the last Mighty Boosh tour wrapped up in 2009.
Now cult stars Fielding and Barratt have some fresh ideas brewing, according to Barratt. “We always have good chemistry when we get back together,” he told the Radio Times. “It’s like (Noel’s) a brother, basically. So you may have times when you fall out but he’s always there.”
Barratt revealed that they had been in close contact since the final Boosh tour – “We wanted to do other things on our own, so that’s what we’ve done. But you know, we’re always in contact,” he said.
These recent comments confirmed what Barratt had already hinted in February when speaking to the Nerdist podcast, teasing the possibility of a new collaboration between the two. “So hopefully this year we’re going to have a crack at something. No idea what … we’re just going to see what happens. We might write a modern dance piece.”
