Radiohead Release ‘Daydreaming’ With Mesmerizing Video by Paul Thomas Anderson

We’re two days from a new Radiohead album, and true to their enigmatic innovation the record doesn’t have a title yet. But the band confirmed on Twitter that it’s releasing its ninth album, the first LP since 2011’s The King of Limbs, this Sunday. They also released a new single, “Daydreaming,” with accompanying video directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.

The track, a despondent streak of sadness in the vein of Sigur Ros, could not be more of a departure from the band’s symphonic menacing playfulness of first single “Burn The Witch”. The video, meanwhile, sees Thom Yorke walking purposefully towards an unknown destination in a car park, the woods, various buildings and elsewhere at dusk. He finds his way to an unlikely destination and, well, we won’t ruin it for you. Watch below.

Mother’s Day is going to be quite musical this year…
