You gotta love when science fiction comes to life, huh? Technically, that’s not the case here, as what you are about to see is just a huge, disgusting huntsman spider. But that will serve as little to no comfort.
Charlotte the Giant Huntsman Spider
As you can see, not only is this mammoth beast actually dwelling among us, but living out its days at Barnyard Betty’s Rescue in Queensland, Australia. Or, at least it was. Sadly, if the post below is any indication, it’s now wandering the Earth somewhere. Great, we were already wetting ourselves just knowing the damn thing existed. Thanks for the update, Betty!
Just in case you were wondering, no, Barnyard Betty’s doesn’t usually specialize in housing such ghastly creatures. In fact, the cute baby goats wear freaking sweaters there! But since huntsman spiders are so common in Australia and the hideous eight-legged monsters won’t actually attack or harm a human if they aren’t provoked, all life remains precious at the jolly farm.
Oh, and a bonus kudos for naming this nightmare-inducing freakshow Charlotte. It really softens the blow.
