Man, Nickelback can’t catch a break.

First their was that dude who followed Ted Cruz around with a “Ted Cruz Loves Nickelback” sign, and then there was that app that played Nickelback’s music whenever you looked at pictures of your ex, and now the police are getting involved. How? By using Nickelback’s music as a punishment.

Canadian cops on Prince Edward Island are giving anyone who is thinking of drinking and driving this holiday season a warning: If you are dumb enough to drink and drink be prepared to be forced to listen to Nickelback’s music.

Police In Canada Are Threatening To Use Nickelback’s Music To Punish Drunk Drivers

Check out what the Kensington Police Department recently posted on their Facebook.

Here’s some of what this post says:

…And when we catch you, and we will catch you, on top of a hefty fine, a criminal charge and a year’s driving suspension we will also provide you with a bonus gift of playing the office’s copy of Nickelback in the cruiser on the way to jail.

Now, now, no need to thank us, we figure if you are foolish enough to get behind the wheel after drinking then a little Chad Kroeger and the boys is the perfect gift for you. So please, let’s not ruin a perfectly good unopened copy of Nickelback. You don’t drink and drive and we won’t make you listen to it.

Man, not even their own country likes them. Const. Robb Hartlen is the man behind this idea, and something tells me there will be a lot of sober drivers out there in Canada.

And now, enjoy this:

Sorry.
