I don’t know if that’s the “guidance” the student was expecting.
Lisa Rogers, who is a guidance counselor at Blanco Middle School in Texas was busted, and has been arrested for having sex with a student. Welp. This all was discovered because of an ongoing criminal investigation, which led police to Rogers, who is actually also a mother, and she’s married to Danny Rogers, who happens to be the athletic director for the school district. Things just got super awkward between them I’m sure.
Not A Teacher, But A Guidance Counselor Was Busted For Having Sex With A Student

“We want to assure you that the safety and well-being of all of our students remain our highest priority,” the Blanco Independent School District Superintendent Buck Ford told parents of the other students in a letter sent out. “It is with [a] heavy heart that I am writing to notify you that yesterday evening Blanco school officials were notified [t]hat Blanco Middle School counselor Lisa Rogers has been arrested and is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student,” the letter reads.
The letter does not state whether Rogers was placed on leave, but I’m going to assume she won’t have a job when she returns. It’s just a gut feeling.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating,
