Let’s all talk about 22-year-old Alin Marin. Marin, originally from Romania, was recently arrested after it was discovered he had pickpocket over 50 cellphones from people at a Royal Blood concert. And how did he store all of these stolen phones? Well he just wore a tight black women’s swimsuit.

Marin was stopped wearing the swimsuit, and police quickly found all of the phones in a nearby car park after he apparently tossed them there after storing them in his swimsuit. Police say that Marin, a construction worker, targeted people in a mosh-pit at the concert.

Marin eventually admitted to theft and was jailed for three years. Here’s what Sergeant Julia Slater had to say about this bizarre crime.
“This was organized pickpocketing. Marin went equipped to steal phones and took advantage of revelers enjoying themselves in the standing area. Many of the phones were taken from front jeans pockets, which people believe is a safer place to carry valuables, but due to the jostling in the mosh pit they simply didn’t realize they’d been targeted.
He slipped phones inside the swimsuit and effectively turned himself into a deposit box for the phones, allowing him to carry tens of phones concealed around his body. It’s an unfortunately reality that large crowds at concerts can make rich pickings for career criminals. We’re on to these offenders but you can also reduce your chances of falling victim to such crimes by remaining extra vigilant; look out for suspicious behavior and only take the valuables with you that you really need.”
And now Marin has three years to think about what outfit he will wear for his next crime.
