The Book of Boba Fett

Mandatory Tweets: Star Wars Fans Roasted For Bitching Over ‘Boba Fett’ Aesthetic, Begs The Question If They’ve Ever Seen ‘Star Wars’

The Star Wars fandom is back at it again, folks. The Book of Boba Fett is currently approaching the midpoint of its first season, but fans can’t seem to stop finding things to bitch about. However, the latest episode of the series, titled “The Streets of Mos Espa,” took this to a whole new level. In the third episode of the Disney + series, a new group of characters was introduced that has somehow managed to become, “controversial.”

Naturally, fans took to Twitter to discuss some of the more cringe-worthy and hilarious design aesthetics of these particular characters in the latest episode of The Book of Boba Fett. What started as playful commentary quickly spiraled out of hand as soon as The Last Jedi trolls started coming out of the woodwork:

It’s true that the sequence in question feels pulled straight from Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. Sure, the bright colors stand out against the harsh desert landscape. At the same time, you’d have to be woefully ignorant to think that the design itself isn’t something George Lucas would absolutely cream his jeans over. This begs the question – have these “fans” even watched Star Wars? Based on the reactions to the tweet, apparently not.

In a nutshell, it’s pretty much the most George Lucas thing ever and he would be proud of director Robert Rodriguez. Nevertheless, the reaction that ensued is perhaps the most divided the Star Wars fandom has been since The Rise of Skywalker. That’s when the roast began. God be with them.
