Showtime’s ‘Dexter’ Investigates Yvonne Strahovski

While the early casting reports of “Dexter” season 7 suggest that America’s favorite serial killer will be taking on an Eastern European crime ring, we now know that Dexter Morgan will have a new woman in his life… so to speak.

According to TVLine, Yvonne Strahovski has signed on to appear in multiple episodes of “Dexter” as Hannah McKay; an independent woman with a dark past that she struggles to put behind her.The report notes that Hannah will be drawn into the world of Miami Metro Homicide as the detectives seek her help solving some cold cases. It also states that Dexter will work alongside Hannah and that he will start to wonder if she’s hiding something from the police.

Strahovski is perhaps best known for her role as Sarah Walker through five seasons of “Chuck” in addition to lending her voice and likeness to Miranda Lawson in the Mass Effect video game series. She also appeared in the TV series “HeadLand” and the film Killer Elite in addition to her upcoming movies The Guilt Trip and I, Frankenstein.

The other currently announced additions to “Dexter” season seven are Ray Stevenson as a high-ranking member of an Eastern European crime ring, Katia Winter as a Russian stripper and Jason Gedrick as a night club owner who may have ties to the previously mentioned crime ring.

“Dexter” will return to Showtime on Sunday, September 30.
