“Grimm” was one of NBC’s unexpected hits last season as it dominated a tough Friday night lineup while going up against “Supernatural” and “Fringe.” The second season begins on NBC in just under a week and the DVD and Blu-Ray of the first season is out in stores today.
The series follows David Giuntoli’s Nick Burkhardt, a homicide detective who discovers that he the latest in a long line of monster hunters known as Grimms. Nick can see past the disguises of creatures previously thought to be only fairy tales as he hunts those who would prey on humanity.
While Nick attempts to keep his police partner, Hank Griffin (Russell Hornsby) in the dark, one of his few allies in this new world is Eddie Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) a Wieder Blutbad who often helps Nick with vital information and occasional backup.
But Nick and Monroe weren’t always so close. In this exclusive deleted scene from the “Grimm” Season 1 DVD/Blu-Ray, Nick visits Monroe after taking down the killer known as the Postman in a sequence originally intended for the pilot episode. And Monroe is not only wary of helping Nick again, he points out that the Postman was part of his family.
“Grimm” Season 1 is available on DVD and Blu-ray in stores everywhere. And don’t miss the second season premiere of “Grimm,” Monday, August 13 on NBC!
