Anderson Silva Wants Some of Roy Jones, Jr.

Anderson Silva hasn’t even fought his title defense against Chris Weidman at UFC 162 and he’s already looking for a piece of boxer Roy Jones, Jr.

Silva pulled no punches in his interview with Crave’s Sherdog website to promote his battle with Weidman.

“Of course I want to fight [Jones]. Maybe after this fight against Weidman, regardless of the outcome, I would love to fight him,” said Silva through a translator. “He’s already said that he would fight me, also, so that is something I would really like to have happen.”

Silva hasn’t lost an MMA bout since 2006 but there is nothing yet set up for this inter-sport fight to take place. Calling out Roy Jones. Jr. publicly though, even though he’s made rumblings of wanting a fight like this before  … that might make something happen.
