Unless you're a fan of pitching duels, all in all, it was a pretty boring All-Star game Tuesday night (the NL only had three hits). The American League won home field advantage of the World Series, beating the National League 3-0 at Citi Field. But in case you missed it, here are the only highlights you need to see, given to you in the form of screen captures from the good ol' boob tube — that just means "TV" for those who aren't from Midwest. Get your mind out of the gutter.

MLB All-Star Game Recap
Robinson Cano Gets Hit By Matt Harvey
The first inning got off with a bang...to Cano's right quad. It was only the second time Harvey hit a batter all season; you can be sure it was accidental as the super sophomore might have been a little anxious starting his first All-Star game in his home park. Cano's x-rays came back negative. Diagnosis was a quad-contusion.
Can Hit By Pitch - Angle 2
Cano would wink at Harvey while exiting the game, insinuating "sa'll good."
Tom Seaver's Bizarre Shirt
Seaver threw out the first pitch with David Wright before the game. A few innings later, the gorgeous Erin Andrews interviewed Seaver in the stands where we find the Hall-of-Famer out of his jersey and into a button down covered in... butterflys?
Heads Up! Miggy Tosses Bat
Not mid-way through the game and Miggy Cabrera losses his grip on his swing, tossing his bat into the stands. It was all good though! This kid wound up with a sweet souvenir and no one was hurt!
First Run Of The Game - Bautista RBI
Top of the 4th, and after a Cabrera double, Jose Bautista knocks the Tiger in for the first run of the game.
Brandon Phillips Makes It Look Easy
Phillips had a couple really good plays he made look easy, this being one of them. Hard to catch on the screen, but Phillips is bare-handing a toss from the shortstop to turn the double play.
Jose Fernandez Still Can't Drink
The youngest All-Star pitcher in nearly 30 years, Jose Fernandez made a dominant appearance. He still can't buy a beer.
Awkward Personal Moment
...That moment when you see yourself in a local commercial promoting your morning show and you pray to God no one in central California is paying attention. Yes, I realize I'm not a firefighter and this looks like a stripper pole...But...
Marc Anthony Was Swell
...It wasn't quite as awkward as watching a very twitchy Marc Anthony before he sang "God Bless America" before the 7th inning stretch. Although he sounded great, I couldn't stop asking myself, "how was HE married to J-LO?"
MLB All-Star Game Recap #10
Neil Diamond sang the classic in front of the sell-out NYC crowd. He was lookin' good with the scruff.
Mariano Makes Final Appearance
Mariano Rivera made his final appearance in an All-Star Game in the 8th inning.
Mariano Tips Cap
All cameras and all eyes were on Rivera as he ran onto the mound to "Enter Sandman" by Metallica. He tipped his cap to the standing ovation from the crowd that lasted an extended period of time.
Mariano Ovation Continued
Players from both dugouts stood to applaud the best closer in the history of baseball.
Prince Fielder Legs Triple
The best laugh of the night came as Fielder chugged out a triple off a missed diving catch in right field by Carlos Gomez in the 9th. Just look at his face; he can't even believe it.
O's Laugh At Fielder
Chris Davis and J.J. Hardy laugh heartily at the Fielder three-bagger.
Closer On Closer Love
Joe Nathan closed out the game for the AL to take the 3-0 win. However, it was still Mariano's moment. Here is Nathan hugging Rivera after the win, handing him the ball from the last out.
Rivera Wins MVP
MLB commisioner Bud Selig announces Rivera as the 2013 All-Star Game MVP and gives him an awkward hug afterwards. Rivera would also win a 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray, so I guess it all balanced out. Rivera would get emotional one last time on camera.
McCarver Gets Emotional
Former Cardinals All-Star catcher and long-time broadcaster Tim McCarver would get emotional as well following this post-game segment when veteran co-anchor Joe Buck (who has done 15 All-Star games with McCarver) not only spoke of their last All-Star game in the booth as a duo, but that McCarver's scorecard would need to be signed because it is going into the Hall-of-Fame.
