Apparently Kevin Feige, President of Production at Marvel Studios, has a telescope through time because he is planning an interlocking universe of films through the year 2021.
We’ve heard about Marvel’s Phase 2 movies plans, which began this year with Iron Man 3, and even some about the Phase 3 slate, which currently are expected to include Doctor Strange and Ant Man. According to Crave’s CinemaBlend website, Feige’s plans go way beyond Phase 3.
“I could arguably say what we’re planning for the year 2021,”
“What we planned for 2015 in 2006 is happening.”
All of this is pretty interesting, especially taking into account the interview he gave in May in which he said he’s buried in Phase 2 plans and is only loosely thinking about Phase 3.
If Feige is planning movies out for the next 8 years, the Marvel universe is going to start getting awfully crowded. Which, depending upon your perspective, may be good news for a lot of superhero movie fans.
