Twenty five years ago today (August 8) the first night game was held at Wrigley Field in Chicago. In celebration of the landmark event, MLB.com released pre-game footage of Hall-of-Fame broadcaster Harry Caray interviewing Cubs fan favorite Bill Murray. Hilarity and nostalgia both ensue.

That first night game against the Phillies was called in the fourth inning due to rain — further proving to some unhappy fans that not only the Cubs were cursed but that it was a sign from God that there should in fact only be day games at the historical ballpark. The Cubs beat the Mets the following night to ensure a victory for the north side’s first full length — and official — night game.
