Cassandra Clare is living the dream. She rose from the ranks of fan fiction authorship to be the best-selling author of her own fantasy book franchise, The Mortal Instruments, and win multiple book awards. Now she’s getting her own movie franchise, starting with this weekend’s release of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, starring Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower and Jared Harris.
But that’s a lot of responsibility, isn’t it? CraveOnline‘s own William Bibbiani sat down with Cassandra Clare to talk about the enormous task of bringing The Mortal Instruments to life on the big screen, and essentially telling her millions of fans what the characters they’ve been obsessed with for years actually look like. Cassandra Clare also has her own views on the series’ “outsider sexiness,” which she talks about in the clip above.
