Where’s Serenity?

Joss Whedon’s Firefly TV series got cancelled and became Joss Whedon’s Serenity, which was a movie that became Dark Horse’s Serenity comic books. There have been a few of them so far, but today, DH sent us an animated gif what looks like this.

And then told us to watch the Twitter, Facebook and Instagram hashtag #WheresSerenity over the next few months for news about what they’re going to be doing with future comics and products and what-not.

One would hope that this means a Serenity ongoing series, or a Firefly: Season 2 kind of thing, since Whedon’s sci-fi western fun fest got the shaft before it could find its legs as a show. Nathan Fillion’s Captain Mal Reynolds was such a rogue that it felt like “Han Solo: The Series”… which might actually happen, now that Disney owns Star Wars. Wow.

Anyway, thought y’all might like to know that, bein’ goon ‘n’ proper nerds like y’all are. Sorry we ain’t got no more, but that thar Dark Horse likes ta be cryptic ’bout its bizness. Keep an eye out, won’tcha?
