Batman vs. Superman Gets $35 Million to Shoot in Detroit

The Batman vs. Superman movie got two pieces of non-Affleck related news Thursday: they will start shooting in Michigan in early 2014 thanks to a $35 million dollar exemption to film in The Wolverine State.

Crave’s MovieWeb posted a statement from director Zack Snyder about working in the Motor City.

“Detroit is a great example of a quintessential American city, and I know it will make the perfect backdrop for our movie. Detroit and the entire state of Michigan have been fantastic collaborators, and we are looking forward to working together on this film.”
